Setpoint descriptions

Kiln Initial Temperature Approach Threshold:

  • This can be adjusted to widen or narrow approach window for the burner control as kiln approaches the initial temperature setpoint. 
  • Larger number: lower overshoot
  • Smaller number: higher potential overshoot
  • Variable: PIDTempApproach_F
  • Use Connect Screen, connect to Kiln Base, and adjust the above Variable in the Public Table of the Base station

   

HopDropTime_min

  • duration the system will hold the Kiln Temp setpoint before re-checking to adjust downward, in AutoTempStage 2.


AutoTempStage

  • 0 is initial heat, burner output is fixed, system checks for Kiln Temp to reach Kiln Initial Temp Setpoint
  • 1 is Overshoot, burner adjusts to meet Kiln Temp Setpoint, intended to be aggressive 
  • 2 is Dropping Temp Setpoint, system is periodically adjusting the Kiln Temp Setpoint to meet the target Hop Temp Setpoint
  • 3 is Steady State, Kiln Temp Setpoint matches Hop Temp Setpoint
