1. After logging into Downtime Pro as a user that is attached to a Company, Downtime Pro will check to see if there are any facilities attached to that Company. If there are no facilities attached, Downtime Pro will present the user with the Create Facility Wizard. To create a new facility within your new company, press the Create button.
2. After pressing the Create button, the screen will display an information page that shows the definitions of items within Downtime Pro. Here are those definitions:
- Facility – A facility refers to the building or area where tracking events for a specific subject area occur. A company may operate multiple facilities. Examples: North Building, South Building
- Subject Area – Within a facility there may be one or several subject areas. Downtime reasons can be defined for each subject area. Example: Packing Line, Boxing Machine
- Reason Codes – Each subject area can have an unlimited number of reason for downtime. Example: Power Outage.
3. After reviewing the definitions, press the “Let’s Start” button to begin configuring your first Facility and Subject Area.
4. The first step in creating a facility is defining the name of the facility. Type in the name of the facility, and if any additional languages were configured for that facility, inputs will be available for the facility name in those languages. If so, provide the translation for the facility name. (Hint: https://translate.google.com/ is great for this!) After finishing all of the inputs, press Next:
5, After Facility Setup, the next step in the Wizard is to name the first Subject Area, and provide Reason Codes for that Subject Area. Like the facility name, if additional languages are attached to the Company, you will need to provide the translations for the subject area name for each language. Add in the first Reason Code and any applicable translation under the reasons. While a single Reason Code is required, you many add as many additional Reason Codes (and applicable translations) by hitting the “Add Reason” button, entering the data and repeating the process as many times as necessary. Note: you only need to create a single Reason Code as part of the wizard process. After creation, you are able to add more Reason Codes within the application.
6. When the Subject Area has been named and all Reason Codes have been added, and you are ready to complete the wizard and create the Facility, Subject Area and Reason Codes, press the Next button:
7. After pressing the next button, a progress indicator will appear to entertain you while Downtime Pro is validating your inputs and then configuring your Facility, Subject Area and Reason Codes. If there are any input errors, Downtime Pro will return to the wizard and allow you to fix the issues. If there are no issues, you will reach this screen:
8. Congratulations! You are now ready to start tracking downtime within Downtime Pro!
